Over the weekend, Stockton went undefeated in its showcase debut.
The NBA G-League hosted its annual showcase in Las Vegas this past weekend, where NBA scouts from all 30 teams join together to source new talent.
Safe to say that the event is a big deal for players looking to make the next step.
The bright lights were no problem for the Kings squad, though. Joined by Harry Giles III from Stockton’s parent ball club, and Troy Williams, who is on a 2-way contract, the Kings went undefeated in two contests.
In the first matchup against the Delaware Blue Coats, Stockton started out strong and never looked back.
Harry Giles III recorded a double-double in the matchup, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
USA Basketball’s 2018 Male Athlete of the Year, Reggie Hearn also had impressive stats, going 4-4 from three in the game, while Kalin Lucas and Gabe Vincent combined for 36 points.
Going into the second game of the weekend, the Kings looked to continue the streak against the Wisconsin Herd.
For a second time, the squad came through with eight members scoring in double-digits.
Harry Giles had another terrific showing with 21 points and eight rebounds, while going 3-of-3 from long distance.
Kalin Lucas also came through clutch with 20 points and an impressive 12 assists.
Fans weren’t the only ones impressed by Lucas, the NBA G-League took notice as well. At the end of the showcase, it was announced that Lucas had been honored as part of the 2018 MGM Resorts NBA G League All-Winter Showcase Second Team.
The Kings now boast a four-game winning streak, and are eager to get back on the court at home for the Kings Collide Game on December 28! Get tickets here!
