Stockton Kings Blow Past Birmingham Squadrons In Final Game Of Series

The Stockton Kings (2-0), of the NBA G League, defeated the Birmingham Squadron (0-2), 137-119, in the second matchup of a two-game series at Stockton Arena.

The Kings outscored the Squadrons 66-52 in the first half and clinched the lead in the second quarter, closing out the game, 137-119. Kings assignment forward Robert Woodard II led the way with 30 points and eight rebounds. Kings guard Ade Murkey added 17 points and two rebounds, while Kings forward Tre’Shawn Thurman garnered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Stockton finished the game shooting .580 percent from the field, .643 percent from three, and .909 percent from the free-throw line.

Squadrons guard Joe Young dominated the evening in scoring with 42 points, recording 14-of-24 field goals to pair with two rebounds and six assists. Forward Tra Holder recorded 23 points, five rebounds and eight assists. The Squadrons finished the game shooting .519 percent from the field, .533 percent from three and .778 percent from the free throw line.
