“The “Fit Kids” program, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, and winner of the 2021-22 G League Social Responsibility Award promotes the importance of health, wellness and education. The program is designed for third through fifth grade students with weekly interactive activities around nutrition, hydration, movement, and mindfulness. Eight elementary schools across the Stockton Unified School District participated in the program in 2023 aimed to teach students healthy habits to have a lasting impact.
209 Locker
In August 2022, the Stockton Kings and Kaiser Permanente relaunched the “209 Locker,” formerly the “209 Closet,” at Stagg High School. The “209 Locker” provides economically challenged students free clothes, hygiene products, and school supplies, helping remove barriers to academic success. In addition, the Stockton Kings and Kaiser Permanente will host supply drives throughout the calendar school year to refresh the locker.

In 2022, the Stockton Kings partnered with Kaiser Permanente and Second Harvest of the Greater Valley to create the “Kings 209 Pantry” to provide fresh produce, perishable and non-perishable goods to underserved neighborhoods. This collaborative effort is part of a multi-year partnership to positively impact the community through health and wellness programs and food donation events designed to build a stronger, healthier and more resilient region.
