Get to Know Jeriah Horne

Forward Jeriah Horne joined the Stockton Kings roster in 2022, coming off a successful college career at the University of Tulsa. 

Horne began playing basketball at the age of three, as he was influenced by his father who played at a collegiate level while attending University of Memphis.  

Horne was a four-year standout in high school at Barstow School in Kansas City, Missouri. He led the Knights to three consecutive Class 3 title games and brought home the state championship in 2015. At Barstow he helped the team to an 82-9 record over his final three seasons. Horne would earn a three-star rating by Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247sports.com during his high school career.  

After high school, Horne would go on to play for the University of Nebraska. During the 2016-17 season he shot 40.5-percent from the floor. His 3-point skills would rank fourth on the team and first among freshman with 22 3-pointers made. 

Horne would then go on to play for the University of Tulsa in 2018. He played in all 32 games at Tulsa with one start and averaged 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He led the team during the 2018-19 season with 49 3-pointers made and shot at a 43.9% clip from the field. He hit 81.8% of his attempts at the free -throw line and was the team’s third-leading scorer and rebounder.  

In his 2019-20 season at Tulsa, Horne appeared in all 31 games, averaging 11.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He once again led the team with 56 3-pointers made shot 33.9% from behind the 3-point line. 

During the 2020-21 season, he would transfer to the University of Colorado, where he would finish as the second lead scorer with 10.8 points per game, while leading the team in rebounds with an average of 5.8 boards per game. Horne would help lead Colorado to an NCAA tournament appearance, as the Buffaloes defeated Georgetown in the opening round before losing to Florida State in the second round.  

Later that year, Horne would go back to play for Tulsa, logging minutes in 31 games and starting in 30. He led the team in scoring at 16.1 points per game and in rebounding at a 6.9 average.  

Horne would then go on to play for the Sacramento Kings Summer League team in 2022. On July 16, he scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 92-81 victory over the Houston Rockets.
