Stockton Kings Defeat G League Ignite 108-104

The Stockton Kings (10-11), of the NBA G League, defeated the NBA G League Ignite (1-8), 108-104 at Stockton Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The first half went back and forth with both teams trading buckets with the biggest lead belonging to the Ignite at 19-11 in the first quarter. Kings two-way center Neemias Queta led the half in scoring with sixteen points, added two rebounds and one blocked shot. Kings guard DJ Steward also had a strong first half with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal. Ignite guard Scoot Henderson led his team in scoring at the half with ten points on 2-3 shooting from three, added three rebounds and four assists. Stockton entered the break leading 50-47 while shooting .435 percent from the field.
The second half stayed competitive well into the third quarter until Stockton went on a 14-0 run and ended the third quarter leading 81-72, and never looked back. Stockton’s biggest lead of the game was 14 when they led 86-72 in the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Ignite finished shooting .438 percent from the field, .314 percent from three and shot .889 percent from the free throw line for the game. Ignite starting guard Jaden Hardy led his team in scoring with 23 points, added six rebounds and five assists.
Queta led the Kings with 23 points. Steward finished with a double-double with 18 points and twelve rebounds and added eight assists and two steals. Stockton had efficient scoring off the bench with Sheldon Mac adding 15 points, Robert Baker with 12 points and Emanuel Terry with 12 points as well. As a team, the Kings shot .482 percent from the field, .385 percent from three and .706 percent from the free throw line.
The Stockton Kings will take on the Memphis Hustle next at Stockton Arena on March 8 at 7:00 PM PT. Fans can tune in to the game on ESPN+.
