Stockton Kings Defeat Long Island Nets, 116-93, For Fourth Consecutive Win

The Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings (7-1), defeated the Long Island Nets (4-3), 116-93 on Saturday evening at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif.
The Stockton Kings shot 52.9% on 87 attempts from the floor, setting a season-high in made field goals. The Kings shot 14-for-35 from beyond the arc and 70% from the free throw line. The Kings dominated on both sides of the ball, finishing with 26 assists and season-high 44 rebounds with forward Jalen Slawson accounting for 13. This marks the first game in the regular season in which the Kings have never trailed throughout the game’s entirety.
Stockton Kings guard Jordan Ford made his stamp in his first game back from injury, leading the game with 24 points in 34 minutes. Seven out of eight Kings players finished scoring in the double digits. Kings center Skal Labissiere and guard Jeremy Lamb both scored 17 points. Stockton’s bench combined for 43 points helping the Kings increase their biggest lead of the night to 38 points.
The Long Island Nets put up a fight in the fourth quarter, going 12-for-21 from the field and shooting 100% from the free throw line. Two starters combined for four points. The bench added 28 points. The Nets would drop their first game since December, losing 116-93.
The Stockton Kings will hit the road to play G League Ignite on Monday, January 15 at Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, NV at 1 pm PT.
