STOCKTON KINGS FALL SHORT IN FIRST GAME OF TWO-GAME SERIES AGAINST G LEAGUE IGNITE

The Stockton Kings (5-1), of the NBA G League, were defeated by the G League Ignite (1-4), 111-114, in the first game of a two-game series at Stockton Arena.
The Kings outscored Ignite 66-56 in the first half but fell short in the fourth quarter. Kings power forward Ade Murkey led the way with 21 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Kings small forward Robert Woodward II followed with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Trailing behind in the third quarter Kings center Neemias Queta tied the game with one minute remaining. The Kings finished the game shooting .470 from the field, .440 from three and .650 from the free throw line.
The Ignite were led by guard Scoot Henderson with23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assist. With 25 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Ignite remained ahead with two free throws from Henderson, 111-109. Ignite finished the game shooting .550 percent from the field, .360 percent from three and .810 percent from the free throw line.
The Stockton Kings will take on the G League Ignite again at the Stockton Arena tomorrow night, November 28 at 7:00 PM PT. Fans can tune in to the game on ESPN+.
