Stockton Kings Lose Last of Two-Game Series Against Memphis Hustle

The Stockton Kings (10-3) defeated the Memphis Hustle (9-2), 109-110, for their third loss this season on Saturday night at Stockton Arena. 

Stockton guard Trey Burke led all players with 20 points, marking his seventh game with a 20-plus point performance this season. Center Neemias Queta earned his seventh double-double to pair with 19 points, 14 rebounds and two assists on the night. Guard Keon Ellis posted 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists. His eight rebounds also ranks as a season-high for defensive boards. Stockton saw a boost from guard Alex O’Connell with 14 points and guard DJ Steward with 11 points. In addition, guard Jordan Ford also pitched in with 11 points on the night, including shooting 5-for-8 from the floor. 

The Memphis Hustle saw 20-point performances from two of their starters in tonight’s game. Sean McDermott pitched in with 23 points, including 22 points from Dakota Mathias.  Matt Hurt ended with 13 points, along with double-digit performances from Damien Jefferson (13), Jacob Gilyard (12) and Darnell Cowart (11). 

Next, the Stockton Kings hit the road to take on the Oklahoma City Blue on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Paycom Center. Saturday’s tip is set for 10:00 a.m. PT.
