Kings will acquire Herd’s 2023 Second-Round Pick
The Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, announced today they have traded the returning player rights of Ade Murkey to the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning player rights to guard Brandon Sampson and a second-round pick (via Oklahoma City) in the 2023 NBA G League Draft.
Brandon Sampson, a 6-5, 184-pound guard appeared in seven games for the Wisconsin Herd and 13 games for the Iowa Wolves during the 2022-23 season averaging 7.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. During the 2021-22 season, Sampson appeared in 30 games for the Wolves, posting 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game. The Louisiana native played college basketball at LSU for three seasons.
