Stockton Kings Win First Regular Season Home Game

Tonight,the Stockton Kings, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, defeated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 134-113 at the Stockton Arena.
Kings’ (6-1) Neemias Queta (Two-Way Player) totaled 28 points and nine rebounds and Jordan Ford (affiliate) poured in 20 points including four assists. Chance Comanche (affiliate) scored 20 points, marking the third time Comanche has recorded a 20-point game this season. DJ Steward (returning rights) added 16 points off the bench and shot 6-for-11 on the night. Alex O’Connell (affiliate) contributed 11 points and five rebounds in his ninth game as a starter this season.
For the Vipers (2-6), TyTy Washington Jr. led all scorers with 53 points in addition to nine rebounds and four assists. Ray Spalding registered 14 points and eight boards. Trevor Hudgins and Cassius Stanley combined for 23 points to finish the night.
In the opening minutes of the game, the Kings traded five leads with the Vipers, including one deadlocked score. Stockton recorded a lead as large as 10 in the beginning of the game and managed to go up by as many as 29 points by the time the final buzzer sounded.
Next, the Stockton Kings will host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for the final game of a two-part series on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Stockton Arena. Saturday’s tip is set for 7 p.m. PT.
