Kings Send James Akinjo to Wisconsin Herd

Today, the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, announced that they have traded guard James Akinjo to the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning player rights to Terry Larrier and a second-round pick in the 2024 G League Draft. 

As a true freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University, Larrier ranked fourth on the team in three pointers (32) and was named to the 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie Team before transferring to the University of Connecticut (2016-17). As a Huskie, the 6-8 forward-guard averaged 13.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 34 minutes and shot 48.8% from the field in his final collegiate season.

Larrier has spent time with the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA and has played with the Wisconsin Herd and Ontario Clippers (formerly Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario) in the G League. He has also made overseas stops in the Basketball Africa League, Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto, Liga Nacional de Baloncesto, Baloncesto Superior Nacional, Swedish Basketball League, Lebanese Basketball League, Polish Basketball League, and Romanian Liga Nationala.
